چکیده
Clathrate hydrates are emerging as a novel storage medium for safe and compact methane storage. However, their industrial-scale applicability is hindered by relatively lower gas uptake sluggish formation kinetics. In this study, we have employed zeolites with acidic (H–Y, FAU-type) basic (Na–X, surface properties kinetic hydrate promoters (KHPs). The impact of physical parameters pressure the gas-to-liquid ratio has also been studied. combined experimental computational assessed performance two types in different concentrations pressures binary CH4–THF clathrate synthesis nonstirred configuration. study results showed that zeolite (H–Y) exhibited superior over one (Na–X), reaching its optimum at 0.5 wt % zeolite, which agreed well DFT calculations. conversion reached 94.25% concentration mild (6 MP). induction time t90 (time to reach 90% final uptake) were reduced 35% 31%, respectively. Our open door better understanding role possible environmental benign KHPs can help utilization water green energy transportation.

The interactions of methyl tert-butyl ether on high silica zeolites: a combined experimental and computational study.
In this work, the interactions of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) on different dealuminated high silica zeolites were studied by means of both experimental and computational approaches. Zeolites with different textural and surface features were selected as adsorbents and the effect of their physico-chemical properties (i.e. pore size architecture and type and amount of surface OH sites) on sorpt...
متن کاملCo Gamma Irradiation - A Combined Computational and Experimental Study
Radiolysis of sulfamethoxazole (SMX) was investigated in aqueous samples with different initial conditions: [SMX]0 (20 μM ÷ 140 μM), pH0 (2.0 ÷ 11.0), [H2O2]0 (0 ÷ 10 mM) and absorbed doses (D, 0.3 kGy ÷ 5.0 kGy). Five transformation products (TPs) of SMX were experimentally identified and evaluated using HPLC/UV and LC-QTOF-MS, respectively. Compared to the precursor SMX, they possess higher p...
متن کاملA thorium metallacyclopentadiene complex: a combined experimental and computational study.
The synthesis, structure, and reactivity of a thorium metallacyclopentadiene were comprehensively studied. The reduction of (η(5)-C5Me5)2ThCl2 () with potassium graphite (KC8) in the presence of diphenylacetylene (PhC[triple bond, length as m-dash]CPh) yields the first thorium metallacyclopentadiene complex (η(5)-C5Me5)2Th(η(2)-C4Ph4) (). Density functional theory (DFT) studies suggest that the...
متن کاملIon-Exchanged Binuclear Clusters As Active Sites of Selective Oxidation over Zeolites
A new catalytic oxidation cycle over binuclear Znand Ca-cation clusters in zeolites is proposed. Intermediate active clusters appear due to trapping of dioxygen. CO oxidation is considered as a model reaction over a cluster located in an 8-membered (8R) ring. Geometries of active clusters involved in the catalytic cycle vary depending on the nature and size of the cation. Reagents, transition s...
متن کاملTheoretical Study of the Molecular Complexes between Pyridyne and Acid Sites of Zeolites
The main interaction between pyridine and zeolites leads to form a hydrogen bond between the N atom of pyridine and OH groups of zeolites. The present work reports a theoretical study about the structural, vibrational and topological properties of the charge distribution of the molecular complexes between pyridine and a series of acids sites of zeolites. The calculated structural parameters...
